In one of our previous articles, we informed our readers about the deprecation of Adsenseformobileapps.com which was used to exclude mobile apps as placements and advised you to enter the device settings of your campaigns to uncheck Mobile and Tablet Apps. Well, this has changed again as Google Ads took it a step further.
PPC account managers should be aware that they are now unable to prevent their display campaigns to appear on mobile or tablet apps. The only possible option for campaigns to not appear on apps is to regularly clean and exclude the placements where your ads are shown.
You may not yet see this in your account, but be aware that it will soon be changed in all accounts. So if you suddenly see your cost increasing, check your placements.
